Environmental Communications for Healthier Outcomes

ECHO Northwest (Environmental Communications for Healthier Outcomes) is a digital platform (currently in concept phase) designed to support a coalition of Pacific Northwest private and public member organizations working together to craft awareness and actionable environmental health and safety communications to the public.

2024-2025 Focus: Air Quality

Our starting point is a pilot program collaboration with the NW Air Quality Communicators Group from Washington, Oregon and Idaho and the Washington State Council of Firefighters.

Wildfire Smoke

Getting our communities “smoke ready,” for wildfire season by providing information to keep both humans and pets safe.

Health Impacts

Ensuring the public has access to resources regarding the impact of air pollution and wildfire smoke on their health.

Environmental and health agencies working together across the Pacific Northwest

ECHO Northwest will serve as a collaboration hub and digital library for partners working proactively to share data and resources. Partners can then amplify consistent and meaningful communications for the greater public good via their communication channels.
