Forces of Nature
Are you a Force of Nature?
Become a Tacoma Yard Wildlife Warrior.
Voice & Vibe:
Forces of Nature frames habitat stewardship as recruitment into something worth joining—scrappy, purposeful, and a little heroic. Think less public service announcement, more Rebel Alliance: ordinary people with complementary skills, working together on something that matters, and proud to show their colors doing it. The campaign gives participants a title (Yard Wildlife Warrior), a role (Pollinator Protector, Bird Ally, Stream Defender), and a badge (the Habitat at Home sign)—because people don’t just want to do good work, they want to belong to something that stands for something.
The tone is warm and empowering without being earnest to the point of eye-rolling. There’s humor here—the A-Team energy of a motley neighborhood crew taking on invasive blackberries with the seriousness of a special ops mission—but it never undercuts the real stakes. Urban habitat is genuinely fragmented, wildlife genuinely needs better stops on the route, and these warriors are genuinely making a difference. The absurdity is in the framing, not the mission.
Look & Feel [To be finalized]
Visual direction draws on Rosie the Riveter and A-Team poster energy—bold, graphic, slightly retro, and unapologetically heroic. Character types presented in a collectible badge format, each with a role and a mission. Earthy greens and yellows, botanical detail, strong graphic composition. Think: the warmth of a seed packet meets the swagger of a recruitment poster.
