Machinists Inc Logos – Round 3

The following logo concepts reflect the feedback provided in our last logo meeting. I took the gear and arch direction and cleaned it up. Both comps use the blue and orange with darker gray lettering. As part of a logo suite we can use both forms in different ways. These versions also offer up reverse color and single color white versions.

Arch & Gear 1

Here, the longer version mirrors the icon to give us some play in how we use the logo. I also made the icon slightly larger to bring better proportional balance to the words. The end of the arch also snugs nicely into the width of the “H” in Machinists.

Arch and Gear 2

Here, I’ve reduced the number of bolts to two, to simplify the mark. For the longer version, the icon sits at the end of the text and starts nicely at the “T” in Machinists.
